GPS Source, Inc. Joins EDGE® Innovation Network

Pueblo West, CO. – GPS Source, Inc., announced today it has joined the EDGE® Innovation Network, a collaborative, open-environment initiative enabling industry and academia, with government input, to work together to enhance the delivery cycle of new technologies and innovative capabilities to warfighters and first responders.

Robert Horton, CEO of GPS Source said, “The open environment will expedite integration of GPS Source components into systems requiring the availability of the GPS signal. This will save time, money and allow for system functionality that fully addresses the needs of the Warfighter.”

EOL Anderson Quick Connects
March 9, 2011

GPS Source will no longer be offering Anderson Quick Connects (red and white power poles), because a special tool is required to connect the mates to a DC Power source.  We have found that the tool is not being used and the quick connects are being cut off.  Instead, when the PDC option is requested, tinned leads will be shipped.  This change will become effective April  8, 2011.

AS9100 Audit Passed
April 2010

GPS Source, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has passed its external audit that maintains its ISO9001:2008 and AS9100 certification.  The Quality Assurance team did an outstanding job and passed with a perfect score.  This certification allows GPS Source to execute any project under this certified quality management system.  Customers can be assured of a high quality GPS solution that will meet their needs.

ISO 9001 is maintained by the International Organization for Standardization and requires a third-party auditor to grant certification. AS9100 is the Aerospace Basic Quality System Standard, an extension to the ISO 9001. It is the Aerospace industry’s standard quality management system by which all major aerospace manufacturers require certification.

February 2009

GPS Source is pleased to announce that as of February 2009 they have successfully completed the Stage One requirements for ISO9001:2008 and AS9100 Rev B registration.

ISO9001:2008 and AS9100 Rev B provides a common set of quality requirements, facilitating development of a single quality system and will enable customers to share results of quality system audits.

GPS Source is on schedule to complete Stage Two assessment in March 2009.
