The Army Rapid Capabilities Office (RCO) is preparing for emerging threats. Two ongoing efforts at the Army's RCO include work on electronic warfare (EW) technologies, and positioning, navigation and timing (PNT). The RCO is on track to produce PNT prototypes for use in Europe later this year. The prototypes are not programs of record, which gives them the opportunity to be fielded in a matter of months rather than years. This is key because the US does not necessarily have the luxury of waiting for programs of record right now.
Of critical importance to the Army RCO is funding. They need to receive the necessary financial and technological support required to fulfill their mission and move products quickly to the field to protect and equip Soldiers against emerging threats - RCO Preparing for Emerging Threats.
