Distributed Antenna Systems

DAS refers to a network of antennas that enhances the range and capacity of cellular networks inside large facilities such as public venues (stadiums, malls, convention centers, etc.), hospitals, hotels, resorts, office buildings, universities, and manufacturing facilities. It also provides coverage outdoors, where network connectivity is low or traditional cell towers cannot provide it, such as roadways, parks, and oil refineries, among other under-served areas. DAS platforms redistribute the signal from a central location and do not have baseband technology integrated. They are being designed to support all mobile operators and all bands in a single system.

Whether small cell or DAS, a system needs to be engineered so that it can be monitored, and when necessary, have redundancy. Therefore, when designing our new product line for DAS, GPS Source took into consideration the need to ensure the proper end-user experience for our customers.  We looked for the best fit to fill our customers’ small cell, in-building, or distributed antenna system needs.

At GPS Source, we know that carriers are looking to increase their capacity and lower their costs, while still improving reliability.  That is why our new wireless products have built-in redundancy features and are available at a lower cost than our standard product line.  We accomplished this feat by simply removing features consumers were not looking for and retaining the features they absolutely need. As a result, GPS Source offers top quality products at a competitive price with very short lead-times.
